How do you like the new-look website? It’s finally up and running thanks to my good buddy Kat. And just in time, because it’s been an exciting couple of months.
Both Kitten Kaboodles have been nominated for awards. The Catier Emerald made the shortlist for the Davitt Awards (best children’s crime novel by an Australian female author) and The Lightning Opal is shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year for 8-10-year-olds.
I was also lucky enough to be chosen as one of the writers for Outdoor Reads in Brisbane, produced by Story City. I’ll be writing three digital media stories, one based in Hanlon Park, one in 7th Brigade Park, and one at J.C. Slaughter Falls. They are “locative fiction”, so the story happens around you while you are in the park.
I’ll be out and about for Book Week and the Brisbane Writers Festival, so hope to see you at some events.
